A major milestone has been achieved at Newcastle’s Airview Park, with the official handover of its leading-edge new building, No1 Airview.

The ISS (International Space Station) Airview Park is a first-of-its-kind business centre that will become a launchpad to overseas markets and vibrant hub for international trade and development.

Multi-award-winning serial entrepreneur, Ammar Mirza CBE, commissioned the development of the purpose built 10,200 sq ft premises, located near Newcastle International Airport. The building, part of the initial stage of the development, will serve as a strategic base for firms looking to expand globally, providing prime location and cutting-edge workspace designed to drive enterprise and collaboration, with over 150 desks and a number of offices, available to businesses.

Ammar – an investment and inclusive innovation expert as well as Chair of Asian Business Connexions – said the facility aligns with his vision of fostering economic growth and innovation, which he champions via his role as Executive Chair of the AmmarM Group.

The ISS Airview will house scale-ups, spin-outs, investors and professional services as well as plans to have space for overseas ministries.

Airview Park’s proximity to Newcastle International Airport provides a gateway for trade with global destinations such as India, Turkey, Middle East, prioritising Saudi Arabia and Europe. This strategic link will support regional enterprises in expanding their global footprint while attracting overseas businesses to the North East.

Looking ahead, ISS Airview aspires to develop a diplomatic space, where foreign ministries can establish a base to drive investment and economic growth in the region. ISS Airview is the first in a series of international hubs planned for across the UK and world-wide.
