Emily is a solicitor in the employment team and joined Square One Law in December 2022.
Emily previously worked in the employment team at a commercial law firm based in Teesside.
Emily advises on day-to-day employment and HR issues such as, holiday calculation, sickness absence, performance management and disciplinary proceedings. She also routinely reviews and drafts contracts of employment and policies and provides strategic advice on redundancy, TUPE and employment aspects of corporate transactions.
Emily has been involved in an array of Employment Tribunal Claims representing both Claimants and Respondents on issues including whistleblowing, discrimination, constructive dismissal and unfair dismissal. Emily also advises on business immigration, including right to work checks, obtaining sponsorship licences and skilled worker visas.
