Jean-Pierre is head of the employment team at Square One Law and works with business owners and senior executives to make the most of their people and, when necessary, resolve troublesome concerns and disputes.
Jean-Pierre works with leadership teams to unlock discretionary effort and develop clear, confident communication. He regularly speaks at events on these topics and is frequently involved in discussions around the “future of work” and how to align the internal brand with the external corporate brand to facilitate performance management.
On the contentious side, Jean-Pierre’s experience includes dealing with boardroom disputes and resisting claims of unfair and wrongful dismissal, discrimination on the grounds of race, sex and disability.
Jean-Pierre’s non-contentious experience includes dealing with the application of TUPE on service provision changes following mergers and acquisitions in the usual course of business and from administrators. He also deals with high value cases that require particular care and strategic input where TUPE is in dispute at the conclusion of a contract.
Jean-Pierre supports a number of clients in the pharmaceutical and engineering sectors to engage staff and establish their businesses abroad. The firm’s global mobility experience, dealing with the full range of employment issues that arise both domestically and internationally has led Square One Law to be appointed to manage the employment needs of a multinational pharmaceutical company in all jurisdictions aside from India.
