We are delighted to have made a raft of hires and promotions as we continue to invest in growing our Yorkshire presence.

We have recruited six new members of staff and promoted one more in a bid to service new and existing clients.

Jasmin Kainth, formerly of Gateley Legal, and Dylan Hooper, formerly of Shoosmiths, have joined the company as paralegals.

Elizabeth Shaduwa has joined as a senior associate, Raya Royle and Zoe Ibbitson, have joined as legal PA’s, and Kyle Taylor has joined the company as an apprentice paralegal.

Amelia Smalley has also been promoted from paralegal to trainee solicitor, having joined as a commercial property paralegal in June 2022.

Matthew Thompson, head of our Leeds office and a partner in our commercial property team, said:

“We are thrilled to welcome our six new recruits to the company and to see Amelia’s fledging legal journey continue.

As a business, we made a conscious decision last year to invest significantly into growing our Yorkshire presence and these appointments and promotions are a direct result of those efforts.”

The hires and promotions top off what has been a strong year for the firm’s Leeds office, having successfully advised clients operating in a wide range of sectors.

The firm is also currently working on several new exciting projects, and with more deals in the pipeline over the coming months, Matthew is confident that 2024 will be yet another year of growth.

“Despite the many challenges facing the property sector over the past year, we have continued to see activity increase across all of our key markets.

It has been a key enabler in helping us introduce new members of staff to our team. Since 2020, we’ve gone from a team of two to a team of 14 and, with a strong pipeline of work, we are confident that we will continue to see the business grow as we look to the future.”
